Registry NIF Standard Ontology: External

NIFEXT covers IRIs that were "external" identifiers that were brought into the ontology at some point in time. This was done before most of the current standard ontology and identifier management practices had been developed.

Providers are various services that resolve CURIEs to URLs. The example CURIE nif.ext:7123 is used to demonstrate the provides available for nif.ext. Generation of OLS and BioPortal URLs requires additional programmatic logic beyond string formatting.
